As a member of the Senior Leadership Team of Standard Register Company, reporting to the COO, Bob was responsible for developing the Business Excellence strategy, building the infrastructure, and leading the corporate-wide deployment of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) across company. The initiative resulted in significant improvements in Quality, Cycle Time and Productivity.
Generated a 5X ROI during the first two years in deployment of Six Sigma across four strategic business units.
Deployed lean, action workout, and six sigma methodologies (DMAIC & DMADV/DFSS) to 35% of employees, with 60 black belts, 210+ green belts and over 2000 yellow belts trained and participating in over 600 continuous improvement projects across all disciplines.
Implemented comprehensive Voice of the Customer program, including win-loss analysis, customer scorecards, customer loyalty surveys, transactional surveys, executive bridging and “At the Customer, For the Customer” improvement projects.
Key leader and demanding partner in leveraging the use of the Balanced Scorecard planning and metrics approach. Established balanced scorecard metrics and dashboards used for executive compensation that linked all key process owners of our end-to-end business model.
Executive sponsor for two major development initiatives that utilized Design for Six Sigma techniques. One developed a new product/technology offering and the second developed an innovative service offering, with both planned to achieve six sigma performance levels by design.
Built stronger customer relationships through executive bridging and business excellence benchmarking with top strategic customer accounts (financial, healthcare and manufacturing).
Represented Standard Register in national forums related to Business Excellence, Six Sigma, and Malcolm Baldrige approach. Speaker at Six Sigma in Finance Conferences, Six Sigma in Healthcare Conferences, and Six Sigma in Marketing and Sales Conferences. Past speaker at numerous Malcolm Baldrige regional conferences.
